The Fifth Element was opened in 2020 by Eric Williams, who had a dream to bring beautiful, permanent art to a small town in a fun, eclectic, clean, and safe environment.
Now the Fifth Element has grown and added more artists, but still sticks to its roots by being the one of a kind gem of central Missouri.

​​Jennifer started her tattooing career as a commissioned artist, selling tattoo designs all over the USA and Canada. The satisfaction of seeing her own art become permanent, inspired her to obtain a license of her own. Her favorite tattoos to do are anything with color and anything that gives her creative freedom.​

A Shop That Gives a Shit!
On January 29, 2023 The Fifth Element along with The Nook, in Jefferson City, and the Art House, in Linn, got together and raised some serious cash during a Tattoo-A-Thon for Bryce Hickman who was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer at the beginning of this year at the age of 39. The five artist that tattooed that day slung ink from 9am - 6pm and together did over 80 tattoos. The ending funds raised were over $7500!!
Seeing three different shops, from three different counties, tattooing together shows how big of a heart this industry really does have.
If the event gets repeated next year it has been determined that it will be held during a warmer month!
